About Grandma’s Place

Clark Family Center & Annex

At our CFC and Annex locations, we house eleven

classrooms in two adjacent buildings.  Each has infant,

mobile infant, and wobbler classes.  Our toddler spaces are

in the Annex and preschool/ prekindergarten rooms are in

the Clark Family Center location.  The classrooms are open

concept, meaning teachers and students in adjoining rooms

develop relationships that support transitions as children

graduate to older classes!

We strive to not only educate the children who attend our center, but to form genuine, positive relationships that support their social and emotional growth, in addition to academic and cognitive development.  Our teachers are passionate about getting to know who our students are, and how to support each one individually.  We hope that each child's day at Grandma's Place is full of positive, meaningful experiences that help them thrive!

At the Annex, we have a secure, private outdoor play space where children from each building play with their classes.  This area has a large sandbox, a play structure, and gardens maintained by children and staff!  During summer, produce from these gardens is served to children during mealtime and snacks.

Clark Family Center is located on the main level of the Catholic Charities building on Powell Blvd.  Our cook, Pat, makes delicious, balanced meals from our kitchen for the classrooms in both buildings.  We also have our own gym that children visit daily.  They have opportunities to ride bikes, play with musical instruments, play parachute games, and kick and throw balls.

The goal of our program is to support your child's growth as they prepare to move to the next classroom, and ultimately, to whatever school they attend.  We use GOLD Teaching Objectives to monitor progress, shape our planning, and determine how our students are learning.  Our teachers integrate play and academics through Creatice Curriculum, for age-appropriate learning.

Parents can also enroll their children in additional programs hosted by our center.  We currently offer Webby Dance and Soccer Shots.  Coaches and teachers visit our center and work with small groups in our gym.
